Kangen Water
Kangen water and kangen water machines have taken the internet by storm in recent years, but is it a new product? The answer is no.
How about Enagic, the company that makes these machines… Are they a new company? The answer is no. They have been around since 1974. Enagic is a Japanese company that has offices all over the world.
So why all of the sudden people started caring about their health and more and more folks are discovering the benefits of drinking Kangen water? It could be the most recent health events, it could be a mass awakening, who knows, but it’s clear that people are eager to get healthier and learn more about kangen water. If that’s you, then read on.
What Is Kangen Water?
Kangen water is alkaline water, produced by Kangen Water machines through the process called ionization. It has gained popularity in recent years due to its alleged health benefits, which include improved hydration, increased energy levels, immune system support, skin health and much more.
However, Kangen water has also been the subject of controversy, with some people questioning the validity of its claimed benefits and the high price of the Kangen Water machines, which are used to produce this “miracle” water. In this article, we will explore the potential health benefits, side effects, uses, and price of these machines, as well as the technology and quality behind their success, in order to determine whether it is a worthwhile investment for improving overall health and well-being.
This image outlines some of the potential health benefits people have experienced:
Benefits of Kangen Water
Superior Hydration Benefits
The primary benefit is that Kangen water can improve hydration, due to it’s micro-clustering properties. This is due to the smaller molecular size of the water, which is able to enter cells and hydrate them much better than tap water.
Balance body’s pH levels
Alkaline water has a higher pH level than tap water, which is generally neutral or slightly acidic. The human body is designed to maintain a slightly alkaline pH, and some proponents of alkaline water claim that consuming it can help to restore the body’s natural balance and improve overall health.
There is limited scientific evidence that supports the claim that alkaline water (Kangen water) can and does improve hydration. A study published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition in 2010 (which you can check out here) concluded that alkaline water was much more effective at hydrating the cells within the body, than plain old tap water did after exercising and sweating a ton. There was another study published in 2012 by Journal of Environmental and Public Health which found that alkaline water improved hydration in older folks. However, it is worth noting that these studies were conducted by researchers with ties to the alkaline water industry, and more research is needed to confirm the hydration benefits of Kangen water.
Additionally, there are many claims floating out on the wet that suggest that Kangen water has a number of other health benefits, including increased energy levels, a boosted immune system, and improved digestion. A review published in the Journal of Environmental and Public Health in 2012 concluded that alkaline water may have some potential health benefits, but obviously, more research is needed to confirm these effects.

Kangen Water Machines
Kangen water is produced using a machine called Alkaline Water Ionizer A.K.A. Kangen Water Machine. It uses a process known as electrolysis to separate water into two streams, which are acidic and alkaline. The alkaline stream gets ionized and turns into the famous Kangen Water which is alkaline and full of antioxidants. There are several different models of Kangen water machines, which range in price from $3000 to $5000, with the most popular and efficient machines being $4000 and $5000 a piece.
Side Effects of Kangen Water
There are no known side effects associated with consuming Kangen water. However, it is worth noting that some people may experience digestive issues if they suddenly increase their intake of alkaline water without gradually adjusting their diet. It is also important to consult with a healthcare professional before making any sudden changes to your hydration routine, especially if you have a medical condition or are taking medications that may be affected by changes in your pH levels or faster water absorption.
How Can You Use Kangen Water?
There are several pH ranges to Kangen water. Most popular and often talked about are the drinking water (pH 8.5 to 9.5), Strong Acidic (pH 2.5) and Strong Alkaline (pH 11.5). Kangen machines also produce Clean water and Beauty water, but they’re not what all the fuss is about.
Kangen Drinking water: Most of the health benefits you hear about are from consuming the pH 9.5 water. Folks who are first starting out usually begin by drinking pH 8.5 and gradually make their way up to 9.5.
Strong Acidic Water: It can be used for sanitizing and cleaning off bacteria. Some people claim it helps with some infections, but it’s not scientifically backed up.
Strong Alkaline Water: This water is able to dissolve oils, remove pesticides (waxiness) from fruits and vegetable and be used for household cleaning.
In general, Enagic recommends using Kangen water for drinking, cooking, and cleaning.
What’s Our Verdict?
It seems like there is some scientific evidence to support the claims that Kangen water can improve hydration, but more research is needed to confirm the other health benefits. However, if no research is ever conducted, how are you supposed to get the evidence?!
Kangen water machines are a one-time investment that can be expensive, but the cost of producing Kangen water at home is significantly lower than the cost of purchasing bottled alkaline water, which is inferior. Learn how bottled alkaline water is made.
There are no known side effects associated with consuming Kangen water, but it is important to consult with a healthcare professional before making any significant changes to your hydration routine.
Overall, whether Kangen water is a worthwhile investment for improving your health and well-being depends on an your specific needs and circumstances.
